The Hungry Caterpillars have been learning about why and how we celebrate Easter. The children listened to the Easter story from the Bible and welcomed Bishop Sophie into Nursery to share their Easter learning. We all enjoyed watching the amazing performance of the Easter play by classes 3 and 4 and found out more about Jesus dying on the cross and then coming back to life. The children learnt that eggs represent new life and used a ‘roll a ball’ activity to create Easter eggs using spring colours for a lovely Easter card.
The Hungry Caterpillars were visited by the Easter Bunny (who left muddy footprints in our playground and Nursery!) He left a note telling the children that he had left them chocolate treats and eggs to hunt for all over the playground. Everyone had fun hunting for eggs in the spring sunshine.
Happy Easter!
