The Nursery children have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly by focusing on one of our favourite story books, ‘ The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle. They have observed the process of metamorphosis by watching the transformation of real caterpillars in the Nursery classroom. The butterflies were named Blaze, Violet, Bertie and Lucy by the children and will hopefully be seen flying around Tankersley School!
