We had a brilliant day learning more about the Anglo-Saxons today. Everyone dressed up to look the part and we really enjoyed taking part in all the different activities. We sang a song about Alfred the Great, learnt about what an Anglo-Saxon warrior would wear and use as weapons, we designed an Anglo-Saxon settlement but our favourite activity was definitely baking Anglo-Saxon bread and eating it afterwards. It was delicious!
