The Nursery children have been finding out about the life cycle of a butterfly using our favourite story book, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle. We have observed real caterpillars turn into cocoons. This week the cocoons have opened up and butterflies have emerged. We have enjoyed looking after them and we will look out for them flying around Tankersley after their release.
