Our enquiry question this half term in Nursery is, ‘What happens in spring?’ The Hungry Caterpillars have been learning about seasonal changes by using spring themed story books, non-fiction books, our Smartboard and going for a spring walk around our school. The children observed different flowers growing and blossom on trees. They have enjoyed learning a spring song (to the tune of ‘I hear thunder.’)

Hello spring, hello spring!
The children have created wonderful spring art work using different media for a spring display. They have also enjoyed learning about the life cycle of a butterfly by focusing on one of our favourite story books, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle. They are observing the awesome process of metamorphosis by watching the transformation of five real hungry caterpillars in the Nursery classroom!
