The Governing Body of Tankersley St Peter’s C.E. Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and hardworking part time teacher to join our team. 

The successful candidate will be required from September 2018 to teach part time in the Year 4 class, two and a half days per week (currently Wednesday pm, all day Thursday and Friday)

Tankersley C of E Primary is a friendly village community school on the border of Sheffield and Barnsley and easily accessible from the M1.  We have a highly motivated, committed and supportive staff team.  We have been graded Good by OFSTED and Outstanding in our SIAMS recent inspections and have been proud to be in the top 3% of schools nationally over the last 3 years. We encourage our children to aim high and have self-belief, to show community spirit and to be enterprising and enquiring learners as well as respectful of one another.

  • Committed to high standards in all areas and have high expectations of all children in terms of progress, attainment, attitudes and behaviour.
  • Has the energy and determination to make a difference, to enthuse and motivate pupils
  • Is an inspiring, creative and forward thinking classroom practitioner
  • Has good organisation and communication skills
  • An interest in Science or Computing is desirable but not essential.
