Tankersley primary school are National winners!

We recently attended the National Modeshift Stars award evening, where Tankersley were shortlisted for a Modeshift stars award: The best project under £1000. Our nomination was for our Bike passport scheme, where we encourage pupils to cycle to school and once they have completed five active journeys, they are rewarded with a scooter session during their lunch time play.
We were shortlisted against two other projects from across the country: Birmingham city council and Next PLC.
Modeshift members voted our scheme as the winning project! We are immensely proud to be shortlisted, but to go on to win the award is a fantastic achievement for our school.
This award is dedicated to all our active parents and pupils, who support our active, road safety initiatives in school. Thank you.
