This week, we enjoyed a wonderful Ancient Greece Day where everyone dressed up as Ancient Greeks and took part in lots of exciting activities. We learnt all about life in Ancient Greece and discovered that the Olympic Games were held to honour the gods and were important religious, social and sporting events. We explored information books to find fascinating facts and even watched some clips from Horrible Histories.
Everyone loved tasting traditional Greek foods including olives, hummus and homemade tzatziki. The highlight of the day was performing our fantastic Ancient Greece show for our families and the rest of the school. We sang songs about myths, legends and Greek gods, recreated the Olympic Games with runners, wrestlers, pentathletes and chariot racers, and shared many interesting facts with the audience. It was a brilliant day full of learning, laughter and memorable performances that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
