The Hungry Caterpillars have loved learning about the wonderful season of autumn. The children have enjoyed looking at autumn objects, such as leaves, conkers, acorns and pine cones on the investigation table using magnifying glasses. They have also enjoyed matching numeral to quantity by recognising numbers on laminated autumn leaves and placing the same number of pegs around the leaf. During an autumn walk around our school they collected beautiful autumn leaves to use in the classroom.
The children have also enjoyed listening to autumn stories, learning an autumnal Poetry Basket poem and creating lovely autumn themed artwork!
