Lockdown doesn’t dampen our creativity!

Coronavirus and the national lockdown meant doing things differently this year.

At Tankersley Primary School we decided to celebrate the importance of reading by planning a range of online activities.

On Thursday 4th March at 1pm all the children were invited to an additional afternoon Teams meeting. The class teacher shared one of their favourite books. We had a wide variety of books, we even had Mr Wolf reading a story that he features in! The teachers then demonstrated how to review a book and write a review. The children were then invited to review a book of their choice. Some of our children filmed themselves reading aloud their book review. Look out for these on Twitter. Lockdown certainly didn’t dampen our children’s creativity with many dressing up as a character from their favourite book.
