This week in Year 4, we have been enquiring about all the different things that can damage our teeth.
We placed one egg in either cola, orange juice, tea or water and left them for a week. We used eggs because the shell is made of a similar material to the enamel on our teeth. Many children predicted that the cola would damage the eggshell most because it contains a lot of sugar.  What we actually found was that the acid in the orange juice damaged the egg the most.
