The Shining Stars have been watching video clips of Remembrance Sunday services and parades. They have also been exploring ambitious vocabulary such as sacrifice, cenotaph, wreath and veteran. The children have used the class Victor Vocabulary board to support this learning and they have talked about the word meanings, as well as labelling these on their medal writing frames. A red handprint poppy and a thought provoking poem has been created, based upon Remembrance Sunday. In the outdoor area, the children have attached their decorated poppies on the fence and even learnt about purple poppies!
