The children have had fun subitising, counting and representing whole numbers 1 to 4, making different arrangements using cubes, creating dot patterns and playing games of number bingo. They have also compared these numbers using the vocabulary: ‘more’ and ‘fewer’ as well as investigating the composition of each number. The Shining Stars have a daily maths meeting on the carpet and they are involved in linked adult focus activities. They also have lots of opportunities to explore mathematical concepts and number facts in the provision! Well done, Shining Stars!
