The theme for World Book Day at Tankersley Primary School this year was “Reading is Magic!” Therefore, our children dressed up as magical book characters. As a school we focused on a special type of magical book character – a dragon! We read Naomi Howarth’s picture book The Night Dragon. This is a tale about self-belief and finding your own path. Again we reinforced our school vision of knowing that God is with us, loves us and has a plan for us. The day was filled with many creative activities and fun was had by all.
