This week we went for a walk to the local woods to look at the lovely spring flowers. Our topic in science this half term is all about plants and we have already learnt lots of new scientific vocabulary which we remembered to use when we were describing the different parts of bluebells, daffodils, wild garlic and other flowers.

We also took some litter pickers with us and filled a whole bag of rubbish on our way there and back! Our village is getting ready to celebrate the Queen’s platinum jubilee and we want the environment to look lovely and clean. It was our little “Clean for the Queen” project and we will definitely do it again.
