The Hungry Caterpillars returned to Nursery happily at the beginning of the new year, 2024, and we also welcomed several new starters. The children described how they celebrated Christmas and they brought in their favourite toy for ‘show and tell.’ Some toys were new Christmas presents and some were older toys. The children learnt about how people celebrate the new year and make resolutions. They made their own resolutions and had lovely ideas. For example, Martha promised to help her mummy to tidy the playroom and flatten her bed. Ava H promised to tidy her bedroom and help mummy set the table. Jack H promised to help his sister to clean their hamster’s cage. Jack P promised to get better at riding his new bike up the hill. Emilia promised to get better at swimming and not sink, so she can go in the big pool! Parker promised to get better at scoring lots of goals in his garden football net. Rudy S promised to play more games with his brother and get better at drawing. Lorenzo promised to help mummy to clean the kitchen and to be kind to his brother, Oscar. Millie promised to get better at writing her name and helping Grandma with the plants. Albert promised to give his mummy lots of hugs and play more with his two dogs.
Happy new year everyone!
