The Hungry Caterpillars have been wearing odd socks to show that we are all different. Our focus has been on being kind to each other. We listened to a book called ‘Kind’ by Axel Scheffler. It gave us lots of ideas about how we can be kind and make the world a better place. We used one idea and made a ‘kind jar.’ When someone did something kind at Nursery they could put a kind jewel in the jar. It filled up quickly!
Giving someone a smile is a kind thing to do. The Nursery children played ‘Guess the Smile’ and we had to guess which smile belonged to who. We also drew smiley pictures of ourselves and thought about how we could be kind to others.
Mrs Cooper’s Class 3 were really kind and came to read with the Nursery children. Before they left they sang a song about being kind and giving someone a smile. It made everyone smile.
It has been a lovely, kind, happy week in Nursery!
