Reception

RECEPTION CLASS HAVE BEEN OBSERVING THE LIFE CYCLE OF A BUTTERFLY!

Over the last few weeks, Reception children have been observing tiny caterpillars, watching them grow quickly then seeing them change into cocoons. The children have been amazed to watch the butterflies nibble their way out of the cocoons!

OUR CLASS TRIP TO THE TROPICAL BUTTERFLY HOUSE AND FALCONRY CENTRE

Last week, the children visited the Tropical  Butterfly House at Anston and had a super time exploring interactive displays, looking at different animals and taking part in a mini beast handling session. They also had great fun playing on the adventure playground, riding the tractors and splashing in the water park. A fun time was had by all! Thank you to everybody who helped to create such a memorable visit!

MAKING AND SELLING SOUP AS PART OF OUR GROWING ENTERPRISE PROJECT

Our EYFS Enterprise project came to a super conclusion last week!  The children have been busy all year, looking after a range of vegetables and herbs. They have been pulling up potatoes and shallots; washing and preparing them before cooking and blending them with chives! The final step was to taste and sell the soup, which was a great success!

As we draw near to the end of the school year, the EYFS team would like to wish you a wonderful Summer break. Thank you for all your support!
