We all love Maths…

Our fabulous Maths Ambassadors have been supporting in classes (from Nursery to year 5) again this week. What a great job they are doing helping our children to deepen their understanding of different mathematical skills and asking children to explain their learning!

This week, in Maths, we have been looking at squared and cubed numbers.

Now, in the light of our new Mastery approach, we like to get “hands on” and physically make something that proves ( or disproves !) our learning.

So when dealing with cubed numbers, what did we do ?  Make big cubes out of smaller cubes, that’s what !

In the picture we have show that 3 x 3 x 3 equals 27.  Have a go yourselves..

Keep cubing !

If you see a calculation that has more than one operation (symbol), then you need to use the order BIDMAS. This video might help you.

Class 3 have been doing some fantastic multiplication and division work over the past couple of weeks.

They were rewarded today with some times table board games.  They had to answer division and multiplication facts for the 3, 4 and 8x tables.

Keep up the good work!
