Mr Evans Class 5 Teacher PE/School Sport Coordinator Geography Coordinator

Shooting stars we truly are,
Having fun, learning and going far.
Our potential we work to reach,
Outstanding is the goal for each.
Try our best in all we do,
Interesting topics for me and you!
Never giving up and being self smart,
Getting involved and taking part.
Super efforts receive an award,
Terrific team work is not ignored!
Always being nice and helpful and kind,
Reaching goals together leaves no one behind.

So in class 5, you will agree, each a star as bright as can be!

Using our Clinometers…

Using our Clinometers ( and a very long measuring tape)  we ventured out to the church yard to measure the height of the tower.

Last week in Maths we  built our own Clinometers….

They are basically small gadgets to help us measure angles of elevation ( this means up in the air).

Using readings from our “Clinometers”   we are able to  calculate the height of tall objects around us, without actually going to the top of it !  We practiced this in the playground and next week we will  venture off to St Peter’s church to see if we can measure the height of the tower.

More new next week…
